With some awesome post-Christmas weather here in Northeast Ohio, Black River Radio Ops had an antenna party at KM8V today.
Previously the chimney antennas here were a m2 6 meter loop and a Radio Shack scanner antenna. A new mast went up with a Diamond X30 dual-band vertical at the top, an E-Factor dual-band horizontal loop, the m2 6 meter loop below it, and the scanner antenna on the sidearm.
Additionally, all the old — and not very high quality — RG-8X and RG-58 feedline was replaced with DX Engineering 400MAX made to length, and an MFJ window passthrough for the feedline was added.
